Google hasn’t spilled all its secrets regarding how it gauges domain authority; but it’s reasonable to assume that authority is determined based on each individual page, not the entire site or domain as a whole. So if a consumer hears a message somewhere and then decides to search on Bing to get more information, many times the advertiser isn’t present, and that consumer ends up taking a different path than what the advertiser would have desired. Google guidelines are very strict and sites operating outside of current recommendations can receive a Google penalty. SEO needs to be done correctly and in competitive arenas it should be considered a long term investment. If anyone contacts you promising page one positions in the short term – they lie! Think of SEO as one small part of a much more cohesive marketing strategy.
One element of your strategy should look at URLs
If you get too far into the SEO rabbit hole you’ll start stumbling upon spammy ways to attempt to speed up this process. This is where you construct your web pages and implement certain techniques to help you rank as high as possible on search engine result pages (SERPs). The higher your pages can rank on Google/Bing/Yahoo/etc. results pages, the more traffic your site is likely to get. Anchor text can take a number of different forms from keyword related anchors, to branded anchors, to normal URLs.
Unconventional knowledge about search engine spiders that you won't find in books
Keep your sentences short. Make sure that no more than 25% of your sentences contain more than 20 words. Also, keep your paragraphs short. Make sure each paragraph doesn’t exceed the recommended maximum of 150 words. Creating content using language your
customers use is as white hat as it comes.
Forget stuffing your content with a single
keyword over and over again. This is about
meeting customers on their turf, speaking to
them naturally and in terms they understand. If you focus on providing the best content possible for the search keywords you want to rank for, then you will rank. This means great content with articles which have a minimum of 500 words which provide answers relevant to the search query. Link Building is arguably one of the easiest steps to Search Engine Optimization, since links don’t really need to be written or phrased in a certain way.
Develop a comprehensive internal linking structure
When you’re looking at a competitor’s web page source code, you’ll see the title tag near the top of the page, along with a bunch of tags used to describe the page’s content. If the site includes it, the meta name= ”keywords” tag should be a few lines below. Both of these contain your competitor’s keywords. Never Repeat to much your Keyword with Bold / Emphasis. It makes your article unreadable and hurt user experience. If you are currently producing five articles a week that get less than 100 visits each, try creating a single keyword-targeted article each week, with more research and more value to your audience, and then actively promote this article to key influencers in your industry. Google ranking factors can be affected by non reciprocal links
Creating content on a consistent basis not only builds links internally (by linking out from your posts), but also gives you the ability to naturally attract links to your content. A blog is essential to many strategies I list below, such as linking out. Choose your keywords. Make sure they have good volume, aren’t too difficult, and suit customer intent. Google will be looking to see if you have put any time into the content or just put up some content with minimal work. They want to see that you have actually put some effort into putting together something useful to the visitor and that it is good quality content. High authority links are great, but in my opinion, relevant links win the game every time.
